Here's the latest: Speaking of Baghdad and Sami's Cock
For the last several years, George corresponded with Iraqi writers in Baghdad, and he made two short films taken from their writing with an international cast (featuring actors from Entourage, Prison Break, Homeland, Grimm, Ugly Betty, Dexter, and more!). The shorts are Speaking of Baghdad (28 min) and Sami's Cock (4 min). Sami's Cock, written by Saad Saeed, explains the entire Iraq war in a four minute story about a rooster! Their words. Our voices. We get a chance to hear the words of Iraq's own writers telling of life in Baghdad during the war. So far, the films have aired at such diverse places as on television, at ten film festivals, at the US Air Force Academy, and were screened six times by Amnesty International. DETAILS BELOW! Speaking of Baghdad currently streams at LinkTV. We also have a trailer on youtube. Sami's Cock continues to screen at festivals across the country. See below for the news on THREE MORE FESTIVALS for the film! If you are interested in screening the films, please get in touch! For more information, please check: NEWS!
